Hi,
I picked up an AE 163 cheap and it works well except it "loses" about .01 mg
(.00001 gm) every two seconds (in the 30 gm mode).
I'm wondering if there's a leaky capacitor that I can replace, but I can't
get the case open. It looks like there are screws I need to get to that are
under the glass floor of the weighing chamber.
It looks like I can get the glass floor out if I can remove the brass
retention clip that holds in the s.s. escutcheon surrounding the cone for
the weighing pan. And it looks like the plastic trim piece that holds the
front glass in at the bottom would have to come out. Also a trim piece at
the opposite side.
Anyone know how to remove these items without damaging them? Any and all
info would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm willing to pay for a copy of a
service manual if anyone has one.
TIA,
david
